  • Heads up!  Mark your calendars from 7 March to 11 April for an exciting faith enrichment program during Lent.  We will meet together at the church each Thursday and break into small groups to study the program "Forgiven", accessible on Formed.org.  We will offer two time periods, 10:00am and 6:30pm, to be convenient for as many people as possible.  There is no charge but we ask that you register in advance.  Please plan to join us, to renew your faith and develop a stronger bond with fellow parishioners.  POC is Lori Wilson, tolife5433@aol.com.
  • Are you willing to assist at Mass? We need Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Sacristans, Altar Servers. Contact the office to help.  God will bless you.
  • If you would like a 2018 contribution statement, e-mail a request to stpaulathal@gmail.com or call the office.  Please specify if you want your statement sent by e-mail.  Otherwise, we will mail it.

  • Activities at St. Paul:
    • Confirmation is Friday Feb 15th at 7:00pm.  Bishop Baker will officiate. Please keep our candidates in your prayers.
    • Coffee and Donuts on Sunday Feb 17th after the 8:30am Mass.
    • Focus Group meets Feb 17th, 2:30pm to 4:00pm.  See Faith Formation tab for details.
    • St. Paul will hold its annual Volunteer Appreciation event on Sunday, February 24th, at 5:00 p.m. in the parish hall.  This event is for all adults who have donated their time and talents in any way in 2018 for the benefit of the parish.  If you plan to attend, please sign up on the sheet located in the church vestibule, making sure to include the number attending.   Contact Cynthia Mingus, 256-233-1665, with any questions.  This will be the last weekend for sign-ups.
  • Event opportunities in the area:
    • The Diocese of Birmingham Office of Vocations is hosting a Priestly Discernment Weekend Feb 22-24 with Fr Brett Brannen, popular author and retreat master.  If you know any young man, age 18 and older who has considered priesthood or would like to know more, please check into this opportunity. 
    • St. John the Baptist Catholic Church is hosting a craft fair with Christian art on March 9th.  Consider a booth to sell Christian art, proceeds go to charity. See announcement.
  • Opportunities to support charities:
    • Support LCCI Food Bank with:  Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken, Rice, and Dried Beans
    • You still have time to buy a raffle ticket!  St. Paul Catholic Women will end the quilt raffle on March 1st with a drawing for the beautiful handmade quilt and small consolation prizes.  Thank you for supporting life with your donation, best of luck on the drawing!

  • Divine Mercy Gift Shop open after 5:00pm Mass, between 8:30am and 11:15am Masses.
  • Join us after the 8:30am Mass on Sundays for fellowship.  Breakfast is scheduled the 2nd and 4th Sundays.  Coffee and donuts are scheduled when a full breakfast is not served.
